Creating a Product Entry

A product entry in Specification Compliance Manager represents the semiconductor product under development. This product entry is a container for product specification definitions and measurement data gathered during validation test, simulation test, and production test. Product entries also provide functions to set relationships between product specifications and measurement data, and to compare each type of measurement data against the defined product specifications.

  1. Open the All Products page.
  2. Click Create Product.
  3. Enter the product name.
    Note The product name must begin with an alphabetical character. Product name validation is not case sensitive and duplicate product names are not allowed. The product name may contain only alphanumeric characters, spaces, and the following special characters: . _ * - ! ~
  4. Click Create.
After product creation is complete, Specification Compliance Manager displays the product in the Spec view. The product is also accessible from the All Products page.
Note The Compliance view, Spec Mapping view, and Product Comparison view are disabled until you upload specifications for a product entry.
