Overview

The GPIB-140B can extend the cable length of a GPIB system up to one kilometer without compromising the integrity of the GPIB device or requiring software modifications. The bus extender uses a buffered transfer technique to transfer data at rates up to 1.1 MB/s (IEEE 488.1) or 2.8 MB/s (HS488). The GPIB-140B also expands the maximum number of GPIB devices in a GPIB system up to 26.
