Adding Components

After you finish creating a new waveform, you need to add one or more components.

To add a component, complete the following steps:

1. Launch the Component Editor using one of the following methods:
   • Click Add Component  on the toolbar.
   • Select Edit»Add Component from the menu.
   • Right-click anywhere on the graph and select Add Component from the shortcut menu. If the waveform already contains one or more components, you can edit any component by right-clicking on it and selecting Edit Component. To insert a component in relation to an existing component, right-click on the component and select Insert Component Before or Insert Component After.
2. Select the Component Size by entering either time (in seconds) or number of samples.
3. Insert primitives and adjust their properties.
4. Click OK to apply your changes.

Tip  Use the Graph View control to view individual primitives or the component as a whole. Select Manual Update to view large waveforms.
