Creating a New Waveform

Complete the following steps to create a new waveform:

1. Launch the NI Analog Waveform Editor and select Blank waveform from the dialog box that appears. If a waveform already exists, click the New  button on the toolbar.
2. Set the waveform properties:
   • Sample Rate
   • Device Type:
     • Select your device type. If you select NI Signal Generator or NI Multifunction DAQ and Analog Output, the Minimum Waveform Length and Data Sample Quantum fields will be filled in automatically. If you select a Custom Device, refer to the device documentation to fill in the Minimum Waveform Length and Data Sample Quantum fields.
3. Click OK.
