Update Service automatically checks for updates when launched, but you can also manually check for updates.

To manually check for updates, complete the following steps:
  1. Select the File » Check for Updates menu item.
    Update Service collects non-personal system information required to identify and evaluate updates. Update Service sends the information to ni.com to check for updates. Once Update Service finishes evaluating the results, a list of updates appears. Updates issued since the last time Update Service checked for updates are marked NEW.

  2. Click on each update to view the details in the update information section.
    Note Another update might include grayed-out updates.
  3. Follow the directions in Installing Updates to install any listed updates.
  4. View urgent updates and notifications available on ni.com by visiting ni.com/info and entering the following Info Codes:
    • updates
    • notifications
