Select Tools»Advanced»Create or Edit Express VI to display this dialog box.

Use this dialog box to create, edit, rename, move, or validate an Express VI.

This dialog box includes the following components:

Option Description
Express VIs

Displays a list of Express VIs and their VI components that you can select for editing. Each top-level item in this tree is an Express VI. Each Express VI contains a source VI and a configuration dialog box VI, listed in that order.
Path

Displays the path to the directory where the Express VI or component selected in the Express VIs tree is located.
New

Opens the Express VI Creator wizard.
Open

Opens the source VI or configuration dialog box VI selected in the Express VIs tree.
Rename

Opens the Rename Express VI dialog box.
Delete

Deletes the Express VI selected in the Express VIs tree.
Validate

Opens the Validation dialog box.
Refresh

Updates the Express VIs tree.
