ATE-15U Components
The ATE-15U has 15U of rack space and includes a single fan panel capable of cooling up to 3.6 kW of power dissipated inside the rack. The rack height is optimized for a top-mounted DUT interface while maintaining good ergonomics, but also be used with a front mounted interface. The ATE-15U air intake is in the front-bottom of the rack, and hot air is exhausted out the top-rear of the rack away from operators.

Related Information
- ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 Side Space
All ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system sizes include a side space on the left of the rack that is approximately 2U in width. This space is intended for power distribution and frame infrastructure components, which frees up rack space for equipment and other integration options. Rack side space also provides a convenient location for I/O.
- Power Entry Panel
The power entry panel (PEP) provides the access point for main AC input into an ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system. The PEP also provides a branch-rated disconnect breaker, power monitoring circuitry, power line filtering, and emergency disconnect contactors.
- Power Distribution Unit (PDU)
A PDU takes an input power signal and distributes it to a number of outlets that can power components of the system. These internal power outlets from the PDU have a rated voltage and current and are available for both alternating and direct current.
- Rack Control Unit
The ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 rack control unit (RCU) is responsible for communicating with and monitoring all aspects of the system.
- Temperature Sensors
ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 systems are equipped with TEMP-1012X temperature sensors that are spaced throughout the rack to track temperature.
- ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 System Power Dissipation Ratings
The following graph provides the maximum temperature rise above ambient for an ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system at maximum power.
- AUX DC 600 and AUX DC 1200 Power Distribution Units
ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 AUX DC power distribution units (PDUs) provide DC voltage sources to instruments throughout the rack. The DC PDUs provide options for static 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V rails.
- RMX-10153 3-Phase Power Distribution Unit
The RMX-10153 3-Phase power distribution unit (PDU) distributes 3-phase power from an RMX-10140-50D2P or RMX-10140-50Y2P PEP to high-power instruments in the ATE-38U/44U.
- Emergency Shutdown (EMO)
When a test system encounters a serious issue or an emergency is taking place in the facility, operators need the ability to quickly and cleanly power off the test system. EMO mechanisms are included on ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 systems to simplify connectivity and inhibit power switching.
- Status LED
ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 systems possess status LEDs on the front and rear I/O panels that indicate if the rack is currently in an error state.
