ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 Side Space

All ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system sizes include a side space on the left of the rack that is approximately 2U in width. This space is intended for power distribution and frame infrastructure components, which frees up rack space for equipment and other integration options. Rack side space also provides a convenient location for I/O.

If your configuration allows for it, you can additionally use the available side space in ATE-38U/44U racks to mount equipment to create more room in the rack.

Note The ATE-15U does not have sufficient side space for accessory mounting.

This equipment should be limited to small, low-power devices such as AC/DC power supplies for rack-space equipment, USB devices, and DC power distribution blocks. The total power dissipated by equipment added to the side space should not exceed 110 W.

The maximum allowable weight for mounted side space equipment in different ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system configurations is as follows:
