Use the Package tab of the Component Properties dialog box to specify/modify package information for a component and map package and symbol pins of a component.

The Package tab contains the following:

  Parameter   Description
Package manufacturer\type area Shows the manufacturer and package name associated with the component.
Symbol pin to package pin mapping table Shows the symbol pin names of the component and the package pins they are associated with in the package.
Add From database Use to add a package package to the component from a list of packages in the selected database.
Delete Use to delete any of the package packages assigned to the component in the Package manufacturer\type area.
Change Displays the Change Package dialog box.
Map pins Displays the Advanced Pin Mapping dialog box.

  Components in the Master Database or installed manufacturer databases cannot be modified.
