- SystemLink now excludes the LAN eXtension Instrumentation (LXI) asset type
when you configure automatic utilization reporting in the SystemLink Client Tray App or in
TestStand. You can report LXI asset utilization data through the following means:
- LabVIEW
- Python
- REST APIs
- By enabling automatic reporting for the NI-VISA driver (2025 Q1 and later)
- Updates to the SystemLink Client Tray App:
- Configuration settings now save at the system level. You can access these settings
in the following location: %ProgramData%\National Instruments\Systems
Management\NIMinionConfig\trayapp_settings.json
Note With this release, every user on the system now uses the same configuration. This update removes all previous user-level customization.
- The default value of the Enable Automatic Tracking setting has changed from All Assets to System Controller.

SystemLink 2025 Q1 includes version 7.0 of MongoDB. If your SystemLink uses the default database, running this installer makes your local database files compatible with MonogDB 7.0. You cannot load the converted database files to older versions of SystemLink.
Note Server Configuration Utility refers to MongoDB as a NoSQL database.This installer does not modify data in an externally managed database. The data becomes accessible after upgrading. NI recommends creating backups of all data stored by SystemLink before you upgrade. For more information about creating a MongoDB backup, refer to Upgrading and Migrating SystemLink Server.
