Using the OrgData Module

Name of the Data Storage Unit

Create data storage units manually (text entry) or automatically (data storage unit generator). Limit the characters users can enter in text entries. Configure these limits in the database. Program the data storage unit generator in the data storage unit for a naming concept (for example <Test bench name>_<Date>_<Sequential number>).

Activating a Data Storage Unit

To save measurement data with measurement data modules (requirements measurement, cyclic measurement, and so on), create or continue a data storage unit. This activates the data storage unit.

The user box shows this state with a green status bar. If you don't create or continue a data storage unit, the system doesn't activate a data storage unit, and you can't save measurement data.

Deactivating a Data Storage Unit

Deactivate a data storage unit only when the system isn't actively saving measurement data. Lock the data storage unit with the middle button (lock icon).

Deleting Data Storage Units

Delete data storage units to keep the display clear and concise. When you delete a data storage unit, the system moves all related data (measurement data, parameter data, and so on) to the recycle bin. Delete a data storage unit only when it’s not active. When the unit is inactive, the recycle bin button becomes available.

Entering Organizational Data

Configure the entries for the organizational data in the database. Enter data only when no data storage unit is active.

Hot change is an exception. If you activate hot change for a line in the configuration table (i.e., for one input field), you can change the data in the user box even when the data storage unit is active.
