Installing and Configuring PAtools e-Powertrain Software Suite

To use the PAtools e-Powertrain Software Suite, you must set up your systems and PXIs using PAtools, databases, and test generators.
Install PAtools e-Powertrain Software Suite on a development
computer.

On the dedicated computer, use NI Package
Manager to locate the PAtools
and Drivers package.
Note This computer must follow the PAtools system requirements as defined in the PAtools User Manual.
- Select Install.

In the Installing PAtools and Drivers window,
select the following items:
- PAtools
- System Configuration
- PAtools e-Powertrain Software Suite
- Select Next and follow the installation prompts.
- Navigate to your database files at the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\PAtools
<version>\e-Powertrain Application.
Install the e-powertrain application database and any device modules relevant to
the test stations on your SQL Server. Refer to Setting Up the e-Powertrain
Application Database for more information.Note Refer to Restoring a Database Backup in the PAtools User Manual to learn how to set up a database backup on a SQL Server using PAexpress.
- Configure the PXI controller. Refer to Configuring the PXI Controller for PAtools e-Powertrain Software Suite.
