Powertrain Component-Related Test
The E-Powertrain Application Software Suite provides the following options for component-related testing.
PTC2EM
The powertrain component two e-motors (PTC2EM) is designed for component-related testing with two electrical drives.
The drives can be either one DUT plus one test bench drive (drive), or two DUTs in back-to-back setup. The application considers to use a gearbox to couple the two drives. You can use this application to also test two e-axle DUTs in a back-to-back setup (e-axle = e-motor + transmission).
Due to this flexibility, the application may be used to test different types of e-motor test benches.
Compared to applications that are used for vehicle-related testing, the interface to the DUT e-motor is the drive inverter and does not require a drive control unit.
PTC3EM
The powertrain component three e-motors (PTC3EM) contains three control modules that are able to control three test benches with up to three gearboxes or transmissions. You can parameterize the control modes specific for your DUT.
Use PTC3EM to test the following:
- Final drive
- Transfer case
- Electric axle(s)
