Note While the 3-phase output is rated for the same current as the input, there may be less power available because of single-phase power usage within the rack. Single phase power must be subtracted from the input power rating to get the total available 3-phase power.

Note These outlets remain on during an EMO event. Ensure that they are only used to power safety-related devices and computer systems that perform logging and error recovery. The total power should not exceed 250 W. Ensure that the connected equipment adheres to local regulations.

Input current derating to 46.4 A is required for:

  • Systems with fan speeds lower than 4000 RPM
  • Systems with internal power dissipation above 6 kW
  • Systems with fan speeds higher than 4000 RPM and internal power dissipation below 6 kW, but which operate in an ambient temperature above 34 °C
Notice While the 3-phase output is rated for the same current as the input, 50 A, this maximum current is not practically available at this output. Some of this current is consumed by single-phase equipment in the system must be subtracted from the input current rating to determine the available 3-phase power output. Rack infrastructure power for the rack control unit and fans must also be accounted for. Maximum power for this infrastructure is 200 W per phase.
Notice Suitably rated branch circuit protection and disconnect means must be provided by the installer, per local codes, by qualified personnel, in a location readily accessible. The protection must be rated a minimum 480 V AC and must not exceed 63 A maximum based on the load and input rating of the system.
