Configure Analysis Automation Procedure: Search Query
Use the Search Query tab to define a search query in order to find the data of a test or on a specific topic.
First click Data Filter enabled to show the search input area and the search results list. Create several search conditions for a search and connect the conditions with AND and OR. DIAdem automatically adds the search condition that only indexed data is included in the search. If, for example, you search for data from a specific tester, select the property Test~Operator and enter the value George. As a second search condition, you can select a storage date, which should not be older than three months. If you search for channels, the search results list displays all channels the specified tester measured during the previous 90 days. You can load and save search requests and use them in other configurations, just as in DIAdem NAVIGATOR.
You process the data you find in the Analysis Script. In a comparative analysis, the analysis script is called once with a list of all retrieved elements. An element can be a file, a channel group, or a channel. In a parallel analysis, the analysis script is called individually for each retrieved element, which means that the list only contains this element. None of the parallel analyses has information about the other retrieved elements.
An analysis automation procedure uses this search query for the DataFinder you assigned to the procedure.
Settings
| Buttons | Describes the general buttons in the dialog box. | |
| Data filter enabled | Specifies whether the data to be analyzed must fulfil specific conditions. If you do not enable this setting, the DataLinks property in the analysis script returns all files of the data source specified on the web interface of the analysis automation. The following settings are only displayed if the data filter is enabled. |
|
![]() |
Delete Query | Deletes a new search query in the search input area. |
![]() |
Load Query | Opens the dialog box where you load a saved search query. |
![]() |
Save Query As | Opens the dialog box where you save a current search query. |
| Name | Specifies the name of a search condition. Use these names to access search conditions in the logical operations line. | |
| Level | Specifies whether the DataFinder searches for the specified value in a channel, a group, or a file. | |
| Property | Specifies the property that the DataFinder browses for the specified value. In the property entry cell, the DataFinder provides a list of the base properties and all the custom properties of the type DIAdem is searching for. You can only search for the properties in this list. | |
| Operator | Specifies the operator the DataFinder uses for the search. | |
| Value | Specifies which value the DataFinder searches for. If you search for values of custom properties, the data set must contain these custom properties. To search for date/time custom properties, you must optimize these custom properties. You can enter blanks in the Value column to search for texts that contain blanks. DIAdem displays these blanks with a gray background. You can connect multiple values with OR, for example, to search for several filenames. | |

Open Dialog Box | Opens the Text Display dialog box in an advanced search if you search for a text in the related search line. Opens the dialog box Display of Integer Values, Numeric Values, and Date/Time Values when you search for integer values, numeric values, or date/time values in the associated search line. These dialog boxes appear only when you search for base properties and optimized custom properties. |
| Search Files | Starts the search. The search results list displays the retrieved files. | |
| Search Groups | Starts the search. The search results list displays the retrieved groups. | |
| Search Channels | Starts the search. The search results list displays the retrieved channels. | |
| Logical operator entry line | Contains the logical operator of the individual search condition within a query. DIAdem fills the logical operations line according to the search condition in the search input area. The names C1, C2, and so on, refer to the individual search conditions. You can change the operators between the individual search conditions in the logical operations line. | |
| Search results | Contains the list of the found files, groups, or channels. |
