Define Data Preparation Procedure for XLSX Files
Use the Data Preparation Procedure dialog box to generate a file (*.dpp) with which to convert data files into a uniform format in order to make them comparable. You generate this file in DIAdem and then apply the process steps stored in the file in the Data preparation in SystemLink TDM.
Complete the following steps in DIAdem to define a data preparation procedure for XLSX files:
Rename Data Preparation Procedure
First, load an existing data preparation procedure and assign a new name to this procedure.
- Select DIAdem SCRIPT.
- Select Settings»SystemLink TDM»Data Preparation Procedure.
- Click Open Data Preparation Procedure and enter <DIAdem Program Folder>\Examples\TDM Server configurations\Process_Example_Data_TDMS.DPP.
You can also click here to copy all example files for data preparation procedures for SystemLink TDM, for example, into your user folder. - Click Open.
- Select the Identifier tab.
- Click Rename.
- Change the Name.
- Click OK.
Configuring Property Identifier Mapping
Define how Data Preprocessor replaces the property names.
- Select the Replace Identifiers tab.
- Enable Replace property identifiers.
- Click Edit.
- Click Copy DataPlugin Mapping and select ExcelTDM as the DataPlugin name.
- Click OK.
- Click Close.
Configuring the Units Catalog
Convert the units of the channel data according to a unit set.
- Select the Convert Units tab.
- Enable Unit conversion.
- Click Edit.
- Enable SI units.
- Select the Quantities tab.
- Scroll down in the list and select the Temperature row.
- Select the Units tab.
- Enable degrees Celsius as Default.
- Click Close.
- Click the Save Data Preparation Procedure As button.
- Click Save to save the procedure as a DPP file.
