Troubleshooting the Video Display on the Monitor
You might not see the video from the operating system when you boot the BIOS screen. In this case, the video card output might be set past the monitor limits.

Start Windows in Safe Mode.
- Start the controller from your recovery media.
- Verify that the Windows troubleshooting options are available.
- Verify cable, adapter, and monitor connections.
- Verify the power to the system.
Resetting the CMOS
If the CMOS is corrupted, reset the CMOS.
- Enter the BIOS setup program.
- Press F9 to load BIOS defaults.
- For the verification prompt, select Y (Yes).
- Click Save.
- Click Exit Setup.
Troubleshooting the PXI Controller Not Powering On
If the PXI controller does not power on, complete the following actions.
- Check the front panel LEDs.
- Ensure that the chassis is connected to a working power source.
- Ensure that the controller is firmly seated in the chassis.
- Remove all other instruments from the chassis.
- Remove any non-essential cables.
- Clear the CMOS.
- Recover the internal drive on the controller.
- Ensure that the RAM is properly seated.
Troubleshooting the PXI Chassis Not Powering On
If the PXI chassis does not power on, complete the following actions.
- Ensure the PXI controller is properly seated inside the PXI chassis.
- Check the PXI chassis LED indicators.
- Ensure the chassis power supply cable is connected.
