Replacing a Rack Control Unit

- Power off your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system by flipping the main disconnect branch breaker to off.
- If your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system utilizes a UPS to provide backup power, press the power button on the UPS to power it down.
- Disconnect your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system from facility power.

Trained personnel are needed to copy the configuration files to the new rack control unit (RCU). Request support from NI repair services when replacing an RCU to get support for copying these configuration files.
Equipment
- 3 mm hex key
- T20 Torx head screwdriver, 1.30 N · m (11.5 in. · lb)
- Remove the left side panel of your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system using the 3 mm hex key.
- Unplug all cables connected to the RCU.

Unscrew the four screws securing the RCU to your ATE Core Configurations
Generation 2 system using the T20 Torx head
screwdriver, and remove the RCU from your ATE Core Configurations
Generation 2 system.
- Install the new RCU in your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system and screw in the four screws with the T20 Torx head screwdriver to mount the RCU to your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system.
- Connect all cables to the new RCU.

Toggle the Interlock DIP switch on the new RCU to match the Interlock DIP
switch configuration of the old RCU.

- Request support from NI repair services to copy the configuration files to the new RCU.
- Reinstall the left side panel of your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system using the 3 mm hex key.
