Complete the following steps before beginning this repair procedure:
  1. Power off your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system by flipping the main disconnect branch breaker to off.
  2. If your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system utilizes a UPS to provide backup power, press the power button on the UPS to power it down.
  3. Disconnect your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system from facility power.

The diagram in this procedure illustrates the ATE-38U/44U front I/O panel. If you are replacing an EMO button on the rear I/O panel or on the ATE-15U, the same procedure applies.

Equipment

  • 3 mm hex key
  1. Remove the ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 left side panel using the 3 mm hex key.
  2. Locate the EMO button that you are replacing.
  3. Disconnect the EMO button cable from the I/O signal cable.c
    • If you are replacing the EMO button on the front I/O panel, disconnect the EMO button cable from the front I/O signal cable.
    • If you are replacing the EMO button on the rear I/O panel, disconnect the EMO button cable from the rear I/O signal cable.
  4. Connect the new EMO button to the EMO button shroud and install the assembly in the I/O panel.
  5. Connect the new EMO button cable to the I/O signal cable.

  6. Reinstall the ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 left side panel using the 3 mm hex key.

Once installation of the new EMO button is complete, you can reconnect facility power to your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system and power on the rack.
