Powering On After an Emergency Shutdown (EMO) Event
Caution Ensure that it is safe for both personnel and your ATE Core Configurations
Generation 2 system before attempting to recover from an
EMO event.
Attention Assurez-vous de la sécurité du personnel et de votre système Configurations de base
d’équipement de test automatisé (ATE) de deuxième génération avant de tenter de
redémarrer après un événement ayant entraîné un arrêt d’urgence.
Note The ATE Core Configurations
Generation 2 EMO button removes power from the main
interface and instruments, but does not put the rack into a service-safe state. AUX
C13 outlets on the power entry panel (PEP), AC RCU power outlets on the PEP, the RCU
AC/DC 120W PS, and the PEP uninterruptable power supply (UPS) interface will remain
powered on during an EMO event. AUX C13 outlets will power off if the EMO event was
triggered by an overtemperature reading from the fan panel thermal sensors. To fully
interrupt power to your ATE Core Configurations
Generation 2
system, disconnect the system from MAIN facility power.
Note To fully power down your ATE Core Configurations
Generation 2 system when using a UPS,
you must disconnect the system from MAINs facility power and disable the UPS by
pressing the power button on the UPS operating panel. Refer to the user manual for
your UPS for more information.
- Ensure that the EMO buttons are not engaged. If any of the EMO buttons on your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system are pressed, disengage the EMO buttons by pulling them.
- Flip the main disconnect branch breaker on your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system off and inspect the system for faults.
- Once any faults have been found and removed, flip the main disconnect branch breaker back on to reset power in your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system and reset the RCU.
-
Verify the status LED is illuminated solid green. If it is not, check the
system error status using the NI-ATE Core driver
API to see if an overtemperature event occurred.
Note You can verify the exact time of a detected overtemperature event in the ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system log files by accessing the rack system storage (MicroSD card) using FTP.
-
If the system error status indicates that an overtemperature event occurred,
address the thermal fault.
- Flip the main disconnect branch breaker on your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system off and remove the thermal fault causing the system temperature sensors to trigger.
- Once any faults have been found and removed, flip the main disconnect branch breaker back on and verify the status LED is illuminated solid green.
- Press the power button on your ATE Core Configurations Generation 2 system to power on the rack according to the specified power sequence.
