The appearance settings apply to the text associated with the probe. The settings do not affect the appearance of the actual probe tool graphic.

The Appearance tab is found in these dialog boxes:

  • Probe Settings
  • Voltage Probe Properties
  • Current Probe Properties
  • Voltage and Current Probe Properties
  • Power Probe Properties
  • Digital Probe Properties.

The Appearance tab contains the following:

  Parameter   Description
Color

Background—The currently selected color for the probe's text window background displays here. Select either System (Tooltip) or Custom.

For Custom, click Select color and choose the desired background color from the Colors dialog that appears.

Text—The currently selected color for the text that appears in the probe's text window displays here. Select either System (Tooltip) or Custom.

For Custom, click Select color and choose the desired text color from the Colors dialog that appears.
Size Auto-resize—Select to have the information box automatically resize to show all content. Deselect to enter Width and Height separately.
Visibility

Drawing layer list—Shows the layer on which the probe appears. The default layer is Probe. but you may select a different layer.

Always show popup window—Disable to hide the contents of the selected probe. To see the contents, roll the mouse over the probe.
Font Select the desired typeface from the list.
Font Style Select Regular, Italic, Bold or Bold Italic from the list.
Size Select the desired font size in point from the list, or type in a value.
Preview Preview the Font, Font Style and Size selections.
