Property Selector

The Property Selector is used to select properties for which values will be imported using the Property Loader step type. The Property Selector contains the following options:

• Filters — It is used to filter the properties that are being displayed in the Properties List. Use the filters context menu to change filter options. The filters context menu contains the following options:
  • All Properties —Displays all the properties present in the target sequence file.
  • Selected Properties —Displays only selected properties.
  • Limit Properties —Displays only limit properties in the target sequence file.
• Views — It is used to change the view of the Properties List. Use the views context menu to change view. The views context menu has following options:
  • Display Names —Shows the display names for the properties in the properties list.
  • Property Names —Shows the real name of a property instead of its display name for the properties in the properties list.
  • Alias Names —Shows the alias names for various properties present in the properties list.
  • Combined Sequences —Shows a list of properties which are grouped together based on their category (Steps, Locals, Parameters, FileGlobals, StationGlobals). These categories contain all the properties/variables present in the target sequence file. For Example, local variables for all the sequences in the target sequence file is displayed as a child of Locals container.
• Search —Use it to search for a property in the properties list. Specify the property name in the search box and then click on search button or hit Enter key to perform search. Remove the text in the search field or click on clear search button to display the properties list which was getting displayed before performing search.
• Load Source Prototype —All the properties existing in the specified property loader source will be selected in the properties list.
• Clear Property Selector —Clears all the selections made in the properties list and clears all the property loader groups.
• Property Selector Dialog —Launch the Property Selector dialog box.
• Properties List —Properties List displays all the properties in the target sequence file. It displays the selection state of properties which are present in the selected property loader group. You can check the property to add it into the selected property loader group which will be exported to the Property Loader source. The properties list contains following items:
  • Name— Specifies the display name or the real name of the property as configured in the views.
  • Type —Specifies the data type for the property.
  • Group Names —Specifies the name of the property loader group in which the property is present.
  • Alias Names —Specifes the alias name for a property. The alias name can be edited by editing the value in this column. Alias name specified for a property in the combined sequences view will be applied for all sequence and steps while alias name specified for a property in other view will be applied for the specific sequence and step.
