Get Status Operation

Use the Get Status operation to obtain information about an existing lock or to determine whether a particular lock exists. Insert a Lock step and select Configure Lock from the context menu for the step. Select Get Status from the Operation ring control in the Lock Step Configuration dialog box.

The Get Status operation contains the following options:

• Lock Name or Reference Expression —The lock on which to perform the operation. You can specify the lock by name or by the object reference you receive when you create the lock using the Use Object Reference for the Lock Reference Lifetime option.
• Lock Exists? (optional output) —The location for storing a Boolean value that indicates whether the lock exists.
• Number of Threads Waiting to Lock the Lock (optional output) —The location for storing the number of threads waiting to lock the lock.
