Analog and Digital Input Triggering Signals

A trigger is a signal that causes an action, such as starting or stopping the acquisition of data. When you configure a trigger, you must decide how you want to produce the trigger and the action you want the trigger to cause. The TestScale backplane supports internal software triggering, external triggering, and internal triggering.

Refer to the analog input and digital input Start Trigger Signal, Reference Trigger Signal, and Pause Trigger Signal topics for more information about the three input triggering signals. An analog or digital trigger can initiate the trigger actions. Up to two TestScale parallel digital input modules can be used in any backplane I/O module slot to supply a digital trigger.

Refer to your module specifications to find your module triggering options.
