If the PXIe-4154 is operating incorrectly, perform the following actions.
- Verify that the hardware and software are properly installed. For more information about how to install hardware and software, refer to PXIe-4154 Installation and Configuration.
- Verify that all connections are secure.
- Verify that the output channels are enabled. If necessary, use the niDCPower Configure Output Enabled VI or the niDCPower_ConfigureOutputEnabled function to enable the output channels.
- Run a self-test on the device using the niDCPower Self Test VI or the niDCPower_self_test function, or run a self-test on the device in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). If the device is damaged, contact NI for information about repair.
- Verify that the output is stable when operating with reactive loads. Refer to PXIe-4154 Source Instability with Reactive Loads for more information about stable device operation.
- Check for any error conditions that may exist in the output channel such as thermal shutdown. If applicable, reset the device to clear the error condition.
