The Probe Settings dialog box affects the settings of all probes.

To access the Probe Settings dialog box:

  1. Select Simulate Probe settings.

    Or

Click the Probe settings button in the Place Probe toolbar.

Parameters Tab

The Parameters tab contains the following:

  Element   Description
Parameter mode

These settings have no effect on analysis-based simulation such as AC Sweep analysis.

Instantaneous only—Select to include only the instantaneous parameters for each of the probes.

Instantaneous and periodic—Select to include both the instantaneous parameters and parameters related to measuring periodic signals, such peak-to-peak voltage.

Grapher Tab

This tab controls how probes are named in the Grapher.

This tab contains the following:

  Element   Description
Probe naming in the Grapher

Select one of the following:

Probe RefDes with net name/component RefDes—For example, P(U4) P(PR1) appears in the graph's legend for a power probe that is placed on U4. V(23) V(PR3) appears in the legend for a voltage probe that is placed on net 23.

Probe RefDes only—For the same probes, P(PR1) and V(PR3) appear in the legend.

Net name/component RefDes only—For example, P(U4) appears in the graph's legend for a power probe that is placed on U4. V(23) appears in the legend for a voltage probe that is placed on net 23.
