Activating Multi-Emitter Generation Software

You need a license for each RF channel in the system. Each RF channel consists of a PXIe-7903 coprocessor and PXIe-5842 VST pair.

NI provides a volume license to you after purchase of the software.
Note You do not need an InstrumentStudio Pro license to use the Multi-Emitter Generation or RF System Compensation InstrumentStudio plugins
Note The user must have at least one valid Multi-Emitter Generation Software license to start the Multi-Emitter Generation Application.

Configuring Volume License Manager

  1. Save the license file to a location on the system running the NI Volume License Manager.
  2. Launch NI Volume License Manager, by navigating to Start » National Instruments » Volume License Manager.
  3. In the window that opens, select File » Install Agreement License File.
  4. In the Getting Started Wizard that opens, click Next.
  5. In the Select Agreement License File window, click the ellipsis on the right side of the Agreement License File field to open a file selection window.
  6. Select the file and click Next.
  7. Click Finish in the next window.
  8. Close NI Volume License Manager.

Configuring License Manager

  1. Open NI License Manager and navigate to the Network Licenses window.
  2. Click Manage volume license servers.
  3. Enter the network information of the PC that the Volume License Server will be connecting to. If the Volume License Manager is running locally, use localhost.
  4. Validate that the correct licenses and license seat quantity are displayed.
  5. Close NI License Manager.
