LabVIEW 2019 allows you to highlight the execution of a section of code instead of the whole block diagram of a VI.

This new feature originated from a suggestion on the NI Idea Exchange discussion forums.You can set a point where you want to toggle execution highlighting by right-clicking a wire and selecting Custom Probe » Toggle Execution Highlighting. When the VI is running, this probe toggles the execution highlighting at the specified point.

Note The Toggle Execution Highlighting custom probe is not supported on RT targets.
