The FTDI Driver API for Serial helps you interface Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE) devices to a USB port.

The FTDI Driver API for Serial is a software add-on for LabVIEW. This add-on provides high-level building blocks to communicate with the Future Technology Devices International (FTDI) MPSSE based on the D2XX driver. The MPSSE provides a flexible means of interfacing synchronous serial devices to a USB port. You can use the FTDI Driver API for Serial to write applications and communicate with the FTDI Chip’s I²C/SPI devices without low-level D2XX driver knowledge. The add-on supports serial MPSSE data rates of up to 30 Mb/s on SPI and I²C.
