NI also publishes security and functional updates through NI Update Service. Starting with NI Update Service 2026, security updates are distinguished from functional updates, and you can configure NI Update Service to automatically install security updates. NI recommends setting up NI Update Service to periodically check for updates so that relevant updates are automatically suggested based on your installed NI software. The Common Security Advisory Framework (CSAF) is a standard for machine-readable security advisories. It is designed for the automated exchange of advisories when vulnerabilities are disclosed, or product dispositions are updated. NI’s public CSAF advisories can be found here.
