Modifications to Graph Properties in Static Data Viewer Graphs are Not Saved

Static Data Viewer allows you to change graph properties, such as line plot color and style, using the graph legend. Any changes made are not saved when a graph is saved. If a graph is closed and re-opened all changes are lost. Auto-scale and max/min scale properties are saved.

Workaround:

There is currently no known workaround for this issue.

Static Data Viewer Channel or Graph Names Containing Backslashes (\) are Displayed Incorrectly in List Views

Channel or graph names with a backslash (\) result in unexpected sub-hierarchies in list tree views. List tree views are currently used in the Saved Graphs and Saved Alarms list views.

Workaround:

Avoid the use of backslashes in channel and graph names.

Loss of Connection with a Network Chassis Not Reflected in FlexLogger but Logging of Channel Data is Stopped

If a network device loses connection there may be no indication within FlexLogger that connection was lost. However, when a network device loses connection all channel data logging associated with the device is stopped. The loss of data can be observed in the log files. Opening MAX and clicking on the device will cause a refresh of state information which will result in an error appearing in FlexLogger.

Workaround:

There is currently no known workaround for this issue.

TSN-capable Devices Temporarily Lose Synchronization Control During Long Duration Tests

In longer test runs (hours to days) with high channel counts (>100), temporary loss of synchronization control between TSN-capable devices has been observed. In these situations, the clocks on TSN-capable devices will drift over time until synchronization is restored. Depending on the amount of drift and the length of time of the control loss, the synchronization constraints may or may not have been violated. In FlexLogger, the synchronization loss is displayed with a red "SYNC" indicator. FlexLogger annotates the log file with timestamped sync loss messages listing when each channel loses synchronization. It also annotates when synchronization is restored.

Workaround:

There is currently no known workaround for this issue. Messages in the log files can be used to determine periods of synchronization loss.

Static Data Viewer Does Not Immediately Display Triggered Alarms

When multiple alarm rules (>10) are enabled within short period of time, triggered alarms that occur shortly after enabling may not appear in the Static Data Viewer right away. It can sometimes take minutes for alarms to appear, however the timestamps on the triggered alarms are correct. The behavior is no longer present after the alarms have been enabled for several minutes.

Workaround:

Enable all alarms several minutes before any test run to ensure triggered alarms will be immediately visible in the Static Data Viewer.

Annotation for Static Data Viewer Plug-in fails to load in FlexLogger 2022 Q4 and newer

When configuring FlexLogger for Static Data Viewer using FlexLogger 2022 Q4 or later, attempting to add a channel with the Annotation for Static Data Viewer Plug-in results in two error messages in FlexLogger. The plugin is necessary to annotate the FlexLogger log file with comments and alarms from the Static Data Viewer. The Static Data Viewer can still be used to view and graph data, as well as set and view alarms; however, the alarms and any added notes will no longer be included in the FlexLogger log file. Delete the Annotation For Static Data Viewer Plug-in from the channel list to remove the errors in FlexLogger.

Workaround:

Install FlexLogger 2021 R4.
