DIAdem 2021 Known Issues

Overview

This document contains the DIAdem known issues that were discovered before and since the release of DIAdem 2021. Known issues are performance issues or technical bugs that NI has acknowledged exist within this version of the product.

 

Not every issue known to NI appears on this list; it is intended to show the most severe and common issues that you may encounter and provide workarounds when possible. Other technical issues that you may encounter could occur through normal product use or system compatibility issues. You may find more information on these issues in NI’s Product Documentation, Knowledgebase, or Community.

If you additionally install earlier versions of DIAdem after installing DIAdem 2020, you will not be prompted to restart your computer.

Workaround:

To ensure that My DataFinder can also run in earlier DIAdem versions, please restart the computer manually after each DIAdem installation.

In DIAdem, the installation of C++ DataPlugins may not be complete.

Workaround:

Register the DataPlugin by double-clicking the URI file.

You can only call the Run for Calculation and Validate for Calculation methods in Python scripts without the empty parentheses that are otherwise common in Python scripts.

DataPlugin registration fails for DIAdem 2019 and higher after installing other NI products

If you install DIAdem 2019 or later on a computer and then install another NI software product of the same or older version (for example, LabVIEW 2019 or lower) on the same computer, registration of a DataPlugin that uses USI 19.0 or later fails because the later-installed NI software product modifies registry entries.

Workaround:

To resolve this issue, open the NI Package Manager, deselect "Products Only", and click "Repair" for the "NI USI Core" package.

Some TDMS files can be loaded into LabVIEW and DIAdem, but cannot be defragmented.

Workaround:

The Analysis Function "Download SRTM Data" No Longer Works

The ANALYSIS function "Download SRTM data" no longer works because the corresponding website (https://urs.earthdata.nasa.gov/users/new) has changed its behavior and now requires user login.

Workaround:

There is currently no known workaround for this issue. The bug is fixed in DIAdem 2021.
