Automatically track asset utilization when you log into a client system to minimize
unwanted changes to VIs or scripts.
The utilization of an asset shows the percentage of time your team used
the asset to perform tests and automated measurements.

Note
Your client system must have
Windows installed to automatically track asset utilization.

Log into the client system.

On the Windows toolbar, right-click NI SystemLink
Notifications
in the system tray.

Refer to the following table to enable, disable, or modify asset utilization
tracking on the client.

Enable automatic asset utilization tracking |

- Select either All assets or
System Controller.
The client system tracks the asset(s) you selected until
you lock, log out, close the remote session, or shut
down the system.

Disable automatic asset utilization tracking |
- Click .
- Click Yes.
The client system stops tracking the asset(s) you
selected.

Modify the asset(s) you track |
- Click .
- Click Yes.
- Click .
- Select either All assets or
System Controller.
The client system tracks the asset(s) you selected until
you lock, log out, close the remote session, or shut
down the system.

The next time you log into the client system, the type of
asset utilization tracking you configured persists. You can view the asset utilization
chart on a dashboard or in a report in Asset Manager.
