Defining Additional Raw Data Areas

Add new folders with raw data to be scanned or processed by the Data Preprocessor instance.

  1. In Data Preparation, click Data Preprocessor Instances.
  2. Select an instance and click »Manage»Raw Data Areas.
  3. Click Add and specify a name and folders for the raw data and processed data. Use UNC paths to specify a folder. An example UNC path is \\Server\MyFolder.
  4. Optional: Click Index and select Overwrite global schedule to overwrite the global schedule, so that the Data Preprocessor instance scans or processes the current raw data folder at a different time. To view the global schedule, click »Manage»Monitoring Raw Data Areas»File Scan Schedule.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Apply in the highlighted area to accept the settings.
  7. Optional: Select a raw data area and click Exclude Subfolder to exclude subfolders from scanning and processing.
  8. Optional: To change a name of a raw data area, select the name and click Edit.
