Returns a reference to the interface used to create the session.

You can pass this I/O into an XNET Interface property node to retrieve hardware information for the interface, such as the name and serial number. The I/O Name is the same reference available from the XNET System property node, which is used to read information for all XNET hardware in the system.

You can use this property on the diagram to:

  • Display a string that contains the name of the interface as shown in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX).
  • Provide a refnum you can wire to a property node to read information for the interface.
