Launch and configure NI VLM to monitor clients.
Use the following flowchart to guide you through the VLM setup process.
- Launch NI VLM and complete the NI VLM Getting Started Wizard.
- Configure the NI VLM preferences.
- Add and edit groups.

Determine if the client machines are connected to the network.
Status Steps Connected - Create a volume license installer.

Not connected - Collect client data.
- Import client data into NI VLM.
- Create a disconnected license file.
- Install a disconnected license file on the client.
