Importing Specifications from Specification Files

You can use the Specifications pane to import specification values from specification files.

You can find the template specifications file recommended for use in this process at C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 2024 (64-bit)\Examples\Specifications Integration.
  1. Launch the Manage Specifications dialog box by right-clicking in the Specifications pane and selecting Browse Files » Upload from this Device.


  2. Select the file you want to import specifications from and click OK.
  3. Select the specification categories you want to import. and
    1. Open the Select Category dialog box by clicking the Pencil icon next to your imported specification file.


    2. Select the required categories from the category list.


You can map imported specifications to measurement plug-ins and code modules and use them to create steps in your sequence file.
