Upgrading an Instance with a New SystemLink TDM Version
If you have installed a new version of SystemLink TDM software on your existing server, upgrade your Data Preparation, Data Indexing, and Analysis Automation instances.
Note NI recommends you always install a
software upgrade on a new server. Refer to the topics in this manual on how to backup and
restore your instances if you choose this option.
- In Data Preparation, Data Indexing, or Analysis Automation, open the instance overview.

Select the instance you want to upgrade.
Note SystemLink flags instances from earlier versions with a red exclamation mark.
- Click . The Upgrade button only displays if a new version exists.
