Creating Targets (WSN)

Complete the following steps to add a WSN target to the WSN node.
- Create a project.
- In the Project Explorer window, right-click the project root and select New»Targets and Devices from the shortcut menu to display the Add Targets and Devices dialog box.
- Select Existing target or device to display the available targets and devices.
- Expand the WSN Gateway folder. LabVIEW displays the WSN gateways that you configured in the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).
- Select a gateway from the list of available gateways.
- Click the OK button. The gateway appears in the Project Explorer window.

Note You must set a time server for the WSN gateway to obtain significant time information in the application. Refer to the Measurement & Automation Explorer Help for WSN, available by selecting Start»All Programs»National Instruments»NI-WSN»Configuring WSN in MAX, for more information about configuring WSN gateways. - Right-click the gateway in the Project Explorer window and select New»Targets and Devices from the shortcut menu to display the Add Targets and Devices dialog box.
- Select Existing target or device to display the available targets and devices.
- Expand the WSN Node folder. LabVIEW displays the WSN nodes that you configured in MAX.

Note Refer to the Measurement & Automation Explorer Help for WSN, available by selecting Start»All Programs»National Instruments»NI-WSN»Configuring WSN in MAX, for more information about configuring WSN nodes. - Select a WSN node from the list of available WSN nodes.
- Click the OK button. The WSN node appears under the gateway in the Project Explorer window.
- Right-click the WSN node in the Project Explorer window and select Add LabVIEW WSN Target from the shortcut menu to add a WSN target to the WSN node.
