Total Jitter VI
Owning Palette: Jitter VIs
Requires: Jitter Analysis Toolkit
Computes the total jitter for the random and deterministic jitter levels you specify. The total jitter value is the amount of jitter that has a probability of being exceeded equal to the BER limit you specify.

![]() |
random jitter specifies the amount of random jitter in the signal. |
![]() |
deterministic jitter specifies the amount of deterministic jitter in the signal. |
![]() |
BER limit specifies the minimum bit error rate (BER) for which you want to know the total jitter. The default is 1E–25. |
![]() |
error in describes error conditions that occur before this node runs. This input provides standard error in functionality. |
![]() |
total jitter is the most jitter that results from the random and deterministic jitter at the BER limit. |
![]() |
error out contains error information. This output provides standard error out functionality. |
