Interlock Capability

The ECUTS possesses mechanical interlocks which disable power supply outputs if there are no fixtures connected to the mass interconnect. There are four power supply interlocks present on the ECUTS which correspond with pins present on the J1 mass interconnect slot. Power output for each power supply must be individually enabled by shorting their associated interlock pins using dry contacts.
  • 12 V Power Supply Interlock – Enables 12 V power output to a fixture from pin 1 in the J22 mass interconnect slot. You can enable the power output by shorting pins B43 and B44 on the J1 mass interconnect slot.
  • 24 V Power Supply Interlock – Enables 24 V power output to a fixture from pin 34 in the J22 mass interconnect slot. You can enable the power output by shorting pins C43 and C44 on the J1 mass interconnect slot.
  • RMX-410x PPS Interlock – Enables power output from RMX power supplies through the J24 mass interconnect slot if they are present in your system. You can enable the power output by shorting pins A43 and A44 on the J1 mass interconnect slot. The enabled output functionality will be duplicated to all connected RMX power supplies after the interlock pins are shorted.
  • User Interlock – Interlock for use with custom user applications. The user interlock terminates to a Molex 436450200 connector. You can enable this interlock by shorting pins D43 and D44 on the J1 mass interconnect slot.

If your system includes N6700C Mainframes, their power outputs are controlled by this interlock.

The mass interconnect has an additional interlock which closes when the mass interconnect receiver's latch is locked. It is not used in the ECUTS by default, and is available for custom integration.
