The Digital Signal Transceiver Driver allows you to control the transmission of the I/Q waveform through the high-speed serial and enables the digital TRM to generate an RF signal. Complete the following steps to generate I/Q data.

  1. Create the I/Q waveform file by using LabVIEW functions, the RFmx Waveform Creator, or your program of choice.
Note Learn about using the RFmx Waveform Creator by visiting Creating and Generating Signals Using NI-RFmx Waveform Creator.
  2. Use the I/Q waveform file in DST InstrumentStudio or LabVIEW to load the specific I/Q waveform.
  3. Configure the generation properties and the specific test parameters.
  4. Commit the properties to the instrument to load the I/Q data into the onboard memory and commit the script used to generate the I/Q data.
  5. Initiate generation and verify if that is complete.
  6. Stop and release hardware after the generation completes.

The following fundamentals are important to understand when generating I/Q data.
