Digital Signal Transceiver Driver New Features and Changes
Learn about updates, including new features and behavior changes, introduced in each version of Digital Signal Transceiver Driver.
Digital Signal Transceiver Driver 2025 Q2 New Features and Changes
Introduced April 2025
New Features
Digital Signal Transceiver Driver 2025 Q2 provides support for the following features:
- Enabled 4 GHz bandwidth throughput
- Resamplers can be used in all SPCs (up to 16)
- Added support for serial protocols that do not produce valid data on every clock cycle, such as Aurora 64B/66B and Ethernet[1]1 The fractional interpolator is supported for protocols that produce valid data every clock cycle. For the other use case, resample the waveform in the controller or host computer before transmitting the waveform.
- Generation and acquisition streaming
- Validated use of Aurora and Ethernet protocols
- Added LabVIEW property node to some parameters of the host DST API
- Improvements to DST Acquisition and Generation InstrumentStudio plugins:
- Support for more than one PXIe-7903 at the same time
- Acquire records directly to TDMS file
- Allow different DSP parameters for each channel
- All triggers options available in the panel
Digital Signal Transceiver Driver 2024 Q2 New Features and Changes
Introduced June 2024
New Features
The initial version of the Digital Signal Transceiver Driver provides support for the following features:
- Waveform generation and multi-record acquisition
- Multiple channel support (up to 8 channels)
- DSP onboard features: digital gain, digital offset, frequency shift, fractional-decimation (for acquisition), fractional-interpolator (for generation)
- Triggering and events
- InstrumentStudio plugins for RF generation and RF acquisition
- Demonstration of JESD204B/C serial communication
Hardware Support
The initial version of the Digital Signal Transceiver Driver provides support for the following instrument:
- PXIe-7903
1 The fractional interpolator is supported for protocols that produce valid data every clock cycle. For the other use case, resample the waveform in the controller or host computer before transmitting the waveform.
