Drag and Drop Channels on Subaxes in 2D Axis Systems

You can drag and drop channels from the Data Portal to various subaxes, to display various value ranges and dimensions in one 2D axis system. To assign curves to subaxes, complete the following steps:

Note  For this example, delete all the data in the Data Portal and load the data file example.tdm from the user folder. Refer to Loading Data into the Data Portal for further details.

1. Select the DIAdem REPORT panel.

2. Select File»New.

3. Click the 2D Axis Systems group bar.

4. From the Lines menu item, choose the 2D Axis System with three y-axes and click and drag to open the axis system in the worksheet.

5. Select the waveform channel Noise data/Noise1 from the Data Portal.

6. Drag and drop the selected channel onto the left y-axis.

7. Select the waveform channel Noise data/Noise2 from the Data Portal.

8. Drag and drop the selected channel onto the middle y-axis.

9. Select the waveform channel Noise data/Noise3 from the Data Portal.

10. Drag and drop the selected channel onto the right y-axis.

11. DIAdem displays three curves, each with a different scale, in the axis system, because the channels have different value ranges.

Note  You can move, zoom, and individually scale each y-axis in an axis system. DIAdem adjusts the display of the associated curves to the modified y-axis.
