Create New Custom Property

Use this dialog box to create new custom properties for the data set or for several channels or channel groups selected in the Data Portal. When you close the dialog box with OK, DIAdem only creates custom properties with valid names.

Settings

	Name	Specifies the names of the custom properties. If DIAdem displays the name in red, the name is invalid because it does not follow the Naming Conventions for Custom Properties or because the custom property for the selected item already exists in the Data Portal. If you create several custom properties simultaneously, you can change each name individually in the table. DIAdem displays modified property names in bold and does not overwrite them when you modify the name for all other custom properties in the upper input field. The tilde character is a separator which groups the custom properties in the Properties Display of the Data Portal. DIAdem combines custom properties containing the same text before the tilde character.
	Data type	Specifies the data type of the custom property.
	Value	Specifies the values of the custom properties. If you create several custom properties simultaneously, you can modify each value individually in the table. DIAdem displays modified values in bold and does not overwrite them when you modify the value for all other custom properties in the upper input field.
	Group	Displays the names of the groups when you create custom properties for groups. Displays the names of the groups which are associated with the selected channels when you create custom properties for channels.
	Channel	Displays the names of the channels when you create custom properties for the selected channels.
	Accept Data Portal Selection	Applies the selected channels or channel groups or the data set from the Data Portal to the dialog box. You can only create several custom properties at once for similar elements of the Data Portal.
	Resolve Conflicts	Corrects invalid names of custom properties so that the names comply with the Naming Conventions for Custom Properties and the custom properties for the selected elements do not already exist in the Data Portal.
