The General tab in the Current Probe Properties dialog box contains the following:

RefDes

The probe's unique identifier. This number is automatically assigned on placement, and can be edited here. If you attempt to use an existing RefDes or net name, an error message displays.

Select one of:

Hide RefDes

Show RefDes

Use sheet visibility settings—Uses the RefDes setting in the Sheet Visibility tab of the Sheet Properties dialog box.

Probe type

Current is automatically selected when you place a current probe.

Select Voltage or Voltage and current if you wish to change the Probe type.

Negative reference probe

Use to specify a negative reference point other than ground.

Enable checkbox and select from the available probes in the drop-down list.

Needs at least one other of the same type of probe placed on the design.

Gain/phase reference probe

Use to measure gain and phase during interactive simulation.

Enable checkbox and select from the available probes in the drop-down list.

Needs at least one other of the same type of probe placed on the design.

Gain and phase are measured between the probe indicated in the RefDes field (this probe) and the probe you select in the drop-down.
