Measuring the Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) of a Modulated Signal

Overview

Making measurements of the quality of digital modulation and demodulation systems is very important to understanding  how a system is performing. Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) measurements are a commonly used measurement in this area, along with Modulation Error Ratio (MER) and Bit Error Rate (BER). This webcast explains how modulation quality measurements are calculated and how they change with various impairments.
