DeviceNet Cards that Support Importing EDS Files

Overview

This document explains which DeviceNet cards can support importing EDS files. This information could be helpful if you are designing an application that allows communication with a 3rd party device using DeviceNet and LabVIEW, and the 3rd party device requires importing an EDS file.

Introduction

The PCI 8532 and PXI 8532 DeviceNet Interface cards are the only NI cards that support importing EDS files.


The NI 9882 DeviceNet Interface for CompactRIO does not support this functionality. At this time, there is no module that supports importing EDS files for CompactRIO.
