Overview

This document describes the NI License Manager 4.0.2 patch fixed issues and installation instructions.

Fixed Issue

DataFinder Server Edition and Analysis Server experienced an issue checking-in and checking-out licenses via VLM. This behavior is due to a problem with NI License Manager which is caused by the order in which licenses are checked back into the server. This update is strongly recommended for DataFinder Server Edition and Analysis Server users. This issue was tracked by CAR 550912.

Installing the Patch

Complete the following steps to install the patch:

  1. Log in as an administrator.
  2. Close all NI software.
  3. Download, run, and follow the prompts for the NI_License_Manager self extracting EXE that can be found on the NI License Manager 4.0.2 download page.
