LIN Interface Device

Provides support for PCs to connect to and communicate on a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) bus.

The LIN Interface Device provides a bus interface for developing applications with the NI-XNET driver. This device features a NI-XNET device-driven direct memory access (DMA) engine that you can use to couple the LIN bus to host memory to minimize message latency. Additionally, this device helps you import, edit, and use signals from log database files (LDF) databases in integrated LIN databases. You can use the LIN Interface Device for applications that require real-time, high-speed manipulation of many LIN frames and signals, such as hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation, rapid control prototyping, bus monitoring, and automation control. The LIN Interface Device does not provide power to the LIN bus.
